Water Is Death To Your Wine

I've seen it. You've seen it. Hell, you have probably DONE it. But honestly, who wants

warm white wine? To keep it chilled, it makes sense to throw in a couple of ice cubes, right? Yeah... well, after the ice melts you are left with deluted wine.

Who wants that?

Water, when introduced to your wine it changes the taste. Not only that, water can introduce a chlorine taste or aroma. Wine also changes the texture of the wine and alter the finish. This is the same reason why you don't rinse out your glass between white and red wine tasting. Water will make it difficult for you to coat the glass to evaluate the legs.

Now, you picked your wine because you like the taste of it, so why would you want to change it? You wouldn't, so I am here to offer you an alternative to ice cubes. If you didn't know about this tip before, prepared to have your mind blown. The better alternative to ice cubes is frozen grapes.

WHAAAAAT?!?

Okay, I'm joking, but only about the mind blowing comment. So, freeze some grapes (red or green, doesn't matter) and extend the chill on your white wine this summer.

You're welcome.
